Thank you. Gratitude is the first, last and most important thing that I’d like to convey with this quarterly letter. To our community members and hackers, we appreciate your confidence in us.

This marks the 4th quarterly company letter I have written to our community, friends, colleagues, students, and most importantly, our believers. This Q4 was a solid quarter for Astra across our three priorities for 2024: community, members win, and projects that were shipped.

I’ve been with Astra for 1.5 years now. I’ve seen us evolve from being a small member of 25 to hosting more than 5 international hackathons in the span of just 2 years. I’m excited about what we’ll do next.

Around the world, we have great people and a powerful set of assets and capabilities. With our combination of stories and projects our community ships, we’re positioned to serve the community to the fullest.

In this report, we will share our progress of Astra and our community.

What’s happening at Astra?

We’ve been asked lately, “How do you describe the company today given how much we’ve changed the over the span of 2 years?” We describe today’s Astra as a people-led, tech-powered, student developer, hackathon ecosystem dedicated to helping people get the resource/talent and community together.

Let’s break down the description of today’s Astra. I’ll start with our people because it’s 600+ builders from all around the world. They make it all happen. Our job is to create opportunity for them to fulfill their potential and to make sure every one of them feels like they belong at Astra. We provide a ladder of opportunity, with that being said here are some projects shipped by the community this quarter.

Projects

In this quarter numerous numbers of projects have been built out by the community. We’re excited by this trend and think everyone else should be too.

5. Brain F*ck Interpreter by shivv.

6. Travelshare Discover India's Beauty Connect with fellow travelers and share your adventures across India. Visit here.

7. ZathuraDbg A GUI emulation-based debugger for Assembly Language. Powered by @unicorn-engine, @capstone-engine & @keystone-engine built by rc.

• Vibhuti received $20k grant from emergent ventures.
• rc became magnificentgrnt grantee.
• Andrew & Suhas funded 5 grantees’ at evm.capital totaling $3k.
• Suhas won 20u20 award from Infosys for entrepreneurship category.
• Karthik raised $3.4 Million in seed round for his startup Spicenet.
• Rudrodip joined Radical Health Tech as SWE.
• Jay was part of Villars Fellow 2024 and won 18u18 award from Crimson Education.
• Harsh was part of Jagriti Yatra (World's Largest Entrepreneurial journey).
• Savio reached $20k MRR for his AI SaaS app within 3 days of launch.
